My name is Maria Lytvyn
I was born in the ancient Ukrainian town Busk. In the 16th century in our town on the river the Western Bug, was based paper factory. On paper, made in Busk, the first printer Ivan Fedorov printed the first Ukrainian books (http://buskl.blogspot.com/2016/08/blog-post_12.html ). Today, no far from this place, in the picturesque southern region Busk to the historical name German side is Busk Central District Library named by Ivan Kotlyarevsky (https://sites.google.com/site/buskbooks/ ).
In 1999-2001, supported by the Soros Foundation and the US Embassy in Ukraine (project "Internet for readers of public libraries (LEAP)») in Busk library was established Internet-center (https://sites.google.com/site/buskbooks/ic ). I work engineer-librarian in the Internet-center and Methodist in the library. I serve 13 personal computers combined into two local networks, administers numerous sites: the library -, the newspaper "The will of the people" ( http://volyanarodu.blogspot.com/ ), local history - ( http://busk.io.ua/ http://buskfamouse.io.ua/ )In addition, a blogger stand ( http://korrespondent.net/ukraine/1431715-blog-platforma-vo-lvove-mariya-litvin )
The German side - the so-called Free Zone WI-FI around our library (http://buskl.blogspot.com/2015/09/247.html ), created by the "Information of the German side in each home city» ( http://buskl.blogspot.com/2015/03/blog-post_7.html ) (under the motto of the famouse American bibliographer Dewey ).
Since 2000, my town Busk is a member of a NGO European Stork City Organization (ESCO) (headquartered in the Latvian town of Staicele). In this organization consists of 10 cities in Europe, whose coat of arms depicts a stork. Storkov (Germany), Busk (Ukraine), Stolin (Belarus) Komarovtse (Slovakia), Luke of Jihlava (Czech Republic), Staicele (Latvia). In 2002, the organization joined Ramihalas city (Lithuania) and Demensk parish (Latvia) in 2006 - Lithuanian city Tuenay, in 2008 -moldavske Konhaz city. Unfortunately, in 2010, the contacts between the cities stopped.I want to restore contacts between cities, between librarians from these cities.
In 2015, we founded NGO "Information and Resource Center City Busk." On the initiative of civil society activists in the Busk library opened in 2016 European Information Point (draft Ukrainian Library Association and the EU Erasmus program http://ula.org.ua/ua/255-programi-proekti/3219-proekt-vse-pro-yevropu-chytai-slukhai-diznavaisia-v-punktakh-ievropeiskoi-informatsii ).
Our library is a long corridor. He symbolically stretches from the northeast to the southwest - the EU, in Brussels. We realize our creative project in this corridor. We would like to place on the wall of a corridor of the library flags all EU countries, 17 UN sustainable development goals and illuminate the corridor using LED lamps and solar panels. Part of the project we have implemented some and hope to achieve with your help.
